Aditya Jyot Foundation For Twinkling Little
Eyes (name suggested by Honorable
President of India, his Excellency Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam)
is a charitable trust founded in 2005. The trust has been
proactive in organizing free eye check-ups for various ocular
diseases like refractory errors, squint, etc. The main aim is
to bring awareness among people regarding eye disorders and
their early detection. We have been proactive in screening
children for various ocular diseases, like refractive errors,
squints, etc. Till date we have screened
approximately 16400 children from various schools in
Thane and Mumbai. The organization takes special interest
in promoting eye donation.

Diabetes Day 14th Nov, 2008 Awareness Program
On
14th Nov, 2008 World Diabetes Day awareness / educational program was organized
by Aditya Jyot Foundation for Twinkling Little Eyes in association with Rotary
Club of Mumbai, sion at Nehru centre worli, Mumbai. A large no. of medical
health professionals and general public / school children where benefited with
lectures of eminent speakers like Dr.Shashak Joshi (Endocrinologist),
Dr.Chandalia (Dibetologist), and Dr Vora (Cardiologist).
We
also conduct a three free diabetes and diabetic retinopathy screen program
which was open for all from 14th to 16th Nov, 2008 between 10am to 5pm.
